I'm not sure what to wear....

Pick out a cute white dress! (Just kidding.) Rehearsal dinner is cocktail (short, mid length, or long dresses, suits with or without ties). Wedding is black tie (floor length dresses and gowns, tuxedos, or dark suits). But it’s most important to us that you feel good! If there’s something else you feel more comfortable in, go for it. Post wedding brunch is casual (jeans, t-shirts, dinosaur onesies - whatever you want!)

Can I bring my kids?

Definitely! We LOVE kids. Just let us know if they’re joining so we can make the night extra special for them. We are also turning the classroom in the Barnes into an optional kid zone (located downstairs near the bathrooms). There will be two UPenn med students there for the night to babysit, some fun activities, and a movie playing starting at 8. Kids are welcome to hang out there or with the adults upstairs!

What should I do Saturday day?

If you're in the mood to mingle with other wedding guests over some art we have organized two docent-led tours of the Barnes. Show up at either 11 am or 1 pm and tell the museum you're with the Gerrard Jaffe tour. They'll take care of the rest. If you'd rather do your own thing check out our Philly favorites page for recommendations.

I bought these super cute new heels for the wedding....

We are offering shuttles to and from the hotels, the wedding, and the after party. Shuttles from the Palomar and Logan to the Barnes will leave promptly at 5:30 pm. Shuttles from the Barnes to the hotels will leave every half hour from 10:30 pm to 12 am. The shuttle from the Barnes to the afterparty will leave at 12 am. Hopefully, this will spare your feet some blisters so that you can rock your gorgeous new stilettos :)

What time should I come to brunch?

Our brunch is from 11 am to 2 pm. Everyone is welcome to join at any time. If your schedule allows, however, we recommend that our family and parents' friends arrive between 11 am and 12:30 pm and our friends arrive between 12:30 pm and 2 pm. This will allow us to maximize our time with every one of you.

Philly Favorites

For the best coffee in Philly...

Try out Elixr on S. Sydenham St, the winner of our 2023 coffee crawl (although Wawa was a close second).

For a lovely morning in the park...

Head over to K’far Cafe on 19th St for delicious coffee and Jerusalem bagels. After breakfast walk over to Rittenhouse Square and enjoy some fresh fruit and flowers at the Saturday farmer’s market.

For a no-reservation neighborhood brunch spot...

Check out Cafe la Maude in Northern Liberties. A tasty breakfast-only spot with a family-like atmosphere. Don't be surprised if the owner sits down at your table for a chat.

For brunch with a Lebanese twist...

Make a reservation NOW at Suraya in Fishtown. Afterwards you can check out the neighborhood's bookstores and vintage shops.

For the best lox bagel in the broader Philly area...

Take the train from 30th St Station to Moynihan and then the 1 up to Barney Greengrass on 86th St. You can leave Philly at 11 and still make it back in time for our vows!

If you want to admire dogs and other works of art...

Explore the Schuykill river dog park and walk along the river up to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, home of the world’s best Duchamp exhibit. An afternoon readymade for a good time!

For the tastiest dinner party you'll ever attend...

Check out Her Place Supper Club, a tiny restaurant with a rotating menu. This homey place has one rule: you must say hi to the table next to you! Reservations go live every other Sunday at 6 pm. Snag one up fast!

If you want to eat at Rachel and Spencer's favorite restaurant in Philly (which also happens to be in NYC)...

Check out Laser Wolf's delicious Israeli menu with meals meant to be shared. Pro tip: order extra pita and spreads for takeaway.

For a Blue Mango upgrade...

(This one is for the Williamstown crew) try out Kalaya's mouth-watering Thai food. Make sure to order the shaved ice for dessert.

If you don't know what to write in our guestbook and want to mull it over a craft cocktail...

Pop over to Writer's Block Rehab, a cute tucked away cocktail bar with board games.

If you want to go to three bars in one night but don't think you have the....

Time! Grab a drink at Time (see what we did there), a jazz club, dance club, and pub all in one.
